November 30, 1942 – September 14, 2020
On Monday, September 14, 2020 Jim passed peacefully at our new home while overlooking the water. Everlasting love of Jean McQueen. Loving father of Sandra Pritchard (Bill Crabbe) as well as loving stepfather of Bill McQueen (Jenn), Joe McQueen (Jen), and Melissa McQueen (Dwayne). Survived by children Jimmy (Dee), Nancy and Jennifer (Arnold). Lovingly remembered by his siblings Sandra, Gale and Richard and Jean’s siblings as well. Forever missed by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his many friends.
Jim was a die-hard fisherman. If he could be out on the water or the ice that’s where he was. He loved with all his heart. If he loved you, he truly loved you. Jim pulled no punches; you knew where you stood with him. Jim had a ridiculous sense of humour. He could engage in conversation with a stranger and walk away with a new friend. Jim was a character and we will forever miss his jokes and his off conversations…there will never ever be anyone like him.
The family wishes to thank the NSHN-Blind River for their kindness and patience and the Menard Funeral Home for taking such good care of Jim. They also want to thank their friends and the McQueen and Pritchard families for ongoing their support through this difficult time.
Per Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home.
