It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Peter Joseph Primeau, in his 82nd year. After a brief illness Don passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the Sault Area Hospital.
Beloved husband of 40 years to Gloria (née Richards), adored brother of Marlene and Eric Guindon, cherished father of Darren Primeau (Catherine), Wendy Primeau, and step-children Sharon (Alan), Ray (Allyson) and Cathie (Dave). Treasured grandfather of Jeffery, David, Kaileigh, Victoria and Michael. Adored Great grandfather of Adrian, Jayden, Connor and Chloe.
Don was one of the most charismatic, jovial, loving, people known. He was an avid debater, a handyman extraordinaire, a comedian, a crooner, a poet, a woodworker, a nature lover and a part time strummer. He was a family man who loved easily and never was lost for an opinion. He was a lifelong friend. He was Gloria's love. He was a dad, he was a papa, he was a great grandfather and fur grandpa to many.
Don will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, as well as many friends in Sault Ste. Marie and beyond.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in Sault Ste. Marie this summer. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 (payable by cheque).
