Gertrude Helene Powe passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at the General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Harold Henry. Daughter-in-law of the late Katherine Powe (Kit). Loving mother of Catherine Witty (Calvin), Richard Powe (Elizabeth), Janice McLellean (Arthur), Harold Powe (Clara). Cherished grandmother of Harold James Witty (Fiancé Gabrielle), Kevin, Rick Jr. Powe, late Troy, Michelle, Robert, Mark, Matthew McLellean and Christopher Witty. Dear sister of the late Roland, late Edward, Francis, late Carl, late Bessie, late Doris, late Lulu and late Grace. Gertrude is survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, October 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Cal Lamming officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Senior Drop-in Centre would be appreciated by the family.
