Peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Sault Area Hospital in her 92_^nd year. Beloved wife of the late August (1997). Loving and devoted mother of Eva Fiacconi and special mother-in-law of Anthony. Cherished and beloved Nona of Ryan (Hailie Grant). Daughter of the late Enrico and Elisa Filipetti. Dear sister of Donald (Brenda) and John Filipetti (Mary). Sister-in-law of Florence and Phylis Filipetti. Predeceased by her brothers Len, Terry (late Dorothy), late Dave, Evo and her sister Gloria Filipetti. Predeceased by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Leo Pontoni (Theresa), Velma D’Angelo (Emi) and the late Elsa and Allessandro Rossi. Lena will be survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from Precious Blood Cathedral on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10 am. Rev. Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated. Lena was a life time member of the Electra Marconi Society.
