(1927-2020)

Lino passed away peacefully on November 28, 2020 at the age of 93. We are comforted knowing that he is once again with his beloved Rose (d. 2018). Lino now joins his grandson Matthew (d. 2016) and the many family and friends that have gone before him. Lino leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship, of acceptance and forgiveness, respect and tolerance, and a work ethic that inspires each of us. Mourning his loss are his children - Frank & Margaret, John, Lino & Wendy, Eugene & Pat, Vincent & Terri, Kevin & Kimberley, Stasia & David, and Jack. Oh how he treasured each of his 20 grandchildren: Andrea, Tyson & Tyler, Jessica, late Matthew, Marc & Jordan, Jennifer, Shelley & Jill, Liam & Taryn, Alexander, Anastasia & Rosalia, Ashley, Danielle, Jessica, Jacob & Nicholas, and their families. Lino will be missed by George and Joseph Simon, Janis & Walter Schnablegger, Bernadette & Roy Hilderley, Rosalie Simon, Ann Simon and Gloria Pistor. He has left an incredible mark on the hearts of so many as an uncle, great-uncle, and cousin. Remembered fondly by Mary, Dana and Tracey. Lino will be remembered as a simple man who loved working with his hands. He was an artist and he inspired others to create, especially Jan McMillan and Matthew Garofalo. Lino had a positive outlook, a wonderful sense of humour, and a wave and a smile for people passing by. In honouring his last wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a much later date. We shall toast to a life well-lived. Salut! Cincin! Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chris Bruni, to Terri-Jo and Barbara from ParaMed, to the incredible nursing staff on 3B, to the RT Team, and to Drs. Gravelle, Ladak, and Landry who cared for our Dad during his final days. Finally, a special thank you to the staff at the Pacemaker Clinic who tended to our Dad over many years. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
