(April 13, 1941 - December 4, 2019) - Annette passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Sault Area Hospital.  Beloved daughter of the late Cecile and Theodore (Ted) Pilon and dear sister of the late Cecile Broderick, Laurent Pilon (Karin), Daniel Pilon (Cheryl) and Laura McMillan (Willy).  Survived by her husband Normand Roux, her children Lynne Roux (Tim), Denis Roux, Louise Roux (Michel), Michel Roux (Giselle).  Beloved Memere of Angel (Matt), Nicholas (Maggie), Ashley (Shannon), Denis, Kayla, Holly (Majdi), Arden, Gunnar and Great Memere to Ian, Alisia, Haylie, Abby, Gracie, Leah, Marlowe, Ruby, Nathan, Lillia, and Jad. Annette will be missed by many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces.

Although she was humble, Annette was known by many as both a striking and classy woman. Her love for antiques and crafting skills were second to none, and she was well known for the beautiful victorian lampshades that she made and sold.  Annette was the owner and operator of Willett's Antique store in Algoma Mills on Hwy 17 where all were welcome.  She always wore a genuine smile and treated everyone she encountered as though they were long lost, friends.  Her love for family was at the core of her being and she found great joy in setting a beautiful table and preparing exceptional meals and the best desserts around for those she loved.  She was a beautiful singer and played the piano and the accordion at family gatherings where generations would gather in celebration. She enjoyed a wide variety of activities, such as Ski-doing, ice-fishing, swimming, hunting, and camping. For the last two years of her life, Annette came to live in Sault Ste. Marie with her daughter Lynne.  In these final years, Annette was surrounded by extraordinary love, warmth, and laughter.  Two peas in a pod, Lynne and Annette did everything together.  While living in the Sault she was able to develop deeply loving relationships with both her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren which brought tremendous happiness to her heart. She developed new friendships, but always remained connected to those who lived afar. She loved to tell stories about her life and had a wonderful sense of humour.  She was an incredibly strong woman with a strong opinion and was respected by everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank everyone who was responsible for Annette's care as her health declined including Dr. Luke Fera, Brenda Pat, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Schafiee and the team at Sault Area Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held in Blind River in the spring of 2020 and an announcement will be made at that time.  Funeral arrangements entrusted by Alternative Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Lupus Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
