PAULENCU, John

At the Lady Dunn General Hospital, Wawa, on Sunday, May 9, 2004 after a lengthy battle with cancer. John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary. Dear father of Wayne (Carol), Sault Ste. Marie; Vina (Jim McManus), Whitehorse, Yukon; and Cathie (Joe Lynett), Goderich. Sadly missed by Gord and Glory and a number of brothers and sisters. Resting at St. Monica’s Church on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Father Jerry Lazoryk officiating. Legion graveside service and interment at Woodland Cemetery to follow. For those who wish donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 429 Poppy Fund or to the donor’s favourite charity would be appreciated. Mr. John Paulencu was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 429 Wawa.
They shall not grow old
As we grow old
Age shall not worry them.
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.
