October 10, 1923 – May 22, 2018. Beloved wife of Gordon, mother of Barbara (Brian) of Newmarket and Ross (Mary Jane) of Barrie. Grandmother of Elaine Hordo (Jonathan) of Fernie, B.C. and Anna McCrady of Victoria, B.C. Great-grandmother to Ellie. Sister of the late Jessie Dalrymple, the late Patricia Edmonds and survived by brother Jim Becking. Special aunt to Beth Brien of Toronto.
Jean was the Sault’s first practising physiotherapist and worked at the East St. Clinic before starting her family. She was a devoted community volunteer throughout her life and was an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years. Jean exited this life with grace and dignity, surrounded by love. Sincere thanks to the compassionate caregivers at the Davey Home, particularly Driftwood 3 for their kindness.
A Celebration of Jean’s Life will take place on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E., Sault Ste. Marie 705-759-2522). Reception to follow.
