Born in South Porcupine, Ontario. Passed away at Sault Area Hospital with wife Mary (Manya) at his side. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob & Anne Novakuske, his brother; Douglas, sister; Pat Mossman & Donna Novakuske. Left to mourn are his children, Christine Lavallé (Nil), Terry Novakuske, Sharon Bracken (Mark), Lisa Stewart (Larry) and Marla Padley (George Silvestri). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Rebecca Christianson (Kai), Rachel Sleaman (Tim), Ruthann Dafoe (Drew), Renee Harrison (Trevor), Katie Novakuske, Vanessa Farlardeau, Evan Bracken, late Heather Rogers, David Bracken, Samantha Stewart, Brianna Stewart, Alana Chartrand, Emily Padley, James Bell and Kristen Bell. Great grandchildren, Anna, Bruno, Felix, Isabella, Blaise, Penny, Kazian, Gibbson, Abigail, Harland, Jacob, Bo, Caleb, Kingsley and McKenna. “Uncle Toad” is remembered by nephews, Rick, David & Greg Mossman, nieces, Carolyn Johnston, Kelly Ann Wood and their families. “Uncle Allen” is remembered by Terri McCormick, Rob & Audrey Dominick, Chris & Charlene Dominick, Nick Dominick and Len & Kathryn Peet along with all their families. Friend of Margaret & James Bell, Mark and Anthony Novakuske. Brother in law of late Bill, Mike, Mac, Paul & Anne Dominick and sister in law, Stella Peet. Allen was a construction electrician worker for many companies in Ontario. He and Mary loved to travel by trailer, settling down in Mesa, Arizona for the winter months after retirement for 27 years. Once an active curler, golfer and bowler, he enjoyed watching NFL football, especially the “Green Bay Packers”! He was a member of the Elks & Knights of Columbus for many years. Visitation will be held at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the O’Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church, SAHF or charity of your choice (payable by cheque). Special thanks to the doctors & nurses of SAH Emergency Department and 3B & 3C.
