I am about to write an obituary that I really don’t want to write. Chapter One: Many years ago, with family and friends, in a beautiful church in Norway as the sun was setting, I placed a wedding ring onto Edgar’s finger, after which we danced the night away. The wedding vows we promised to each other on that day included, “till death do us part.” It is with the deepest sorrow I have removed his wedding ring and have placed it on my hand. The last chapter of our life together has been written. It gave me solace when Edgar expressed that he knew he is going to a better world. As our anniversary approaches, I will miss hearing his Norwegian expression, “Hun, I don’t want to be happy, I want to be with you.” I love you and we will see each other again.
Love, Ursula
Jeg vil elske for alltid.
Till vi motes igjen.

Family and friends will miss Edgar and especially his Norwegian humour.
His wish was not to have a service. In his words, he would say, “have it good.”
Thank you to the doctors that we felt were like friends.

From Shaylan Spurway Bubinas’ Facebook Post: October 24th is #BrainCancerAwarenessDay. I’m wearing my #HatsForHope Toque from the @braintunorfdn because #GreyMatters! I had a benign tumour, but I stand with and support those with both benign and malignant brain tumours. My friends, family and my incredible team of surgeons have given me the strength and courage to battle and live a happy, healthy life. #peaceoutbraintumour. This year in particular I wear my hat for Edgar who I walked for as a part of June’s 27km. Edgar passed away on Wednesday. I also wear my hat for an incredible new friend who continues to inspire me with her strength, you know who you are.
