Passed away stubbornly but peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 65.

Beloved husband of Helene.  Dear son of Joan and the late Rodney Sr.  Loving father of Steve (Heather), Chris (Amanda), Julie, Jocelynn (Spencer), Jacob, Jackie (Matt), John (Kristi), Alex (Sara), Jeff and Chad.  Proud Pappy of Leah (Adam), Danny, Connor, Ethan, Carter, Hudson, Alexa, Hannah, Preston, Mikey, Milo, Eden, Eeva and great-grandfather of Kayden.  Predeceased by his brother Barry and sister Lynne.  Fondly remembered uncle of Tiffany (Rick) and RJ, nephew of Deborah (Kieran), cousin of Laura (John) and their children Vera and Joey.  Special friend and recognition to Sam and Anna Biasucci, Pierre and Sergine Boyer, John and Linda Zambusi, Scott Cleminson and Mike O'Connor.

For Rodney putting a smile on someone's face was everything.  His love of life and family resonated through his ability to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. His home was open for all to gather and especially for Sunday family dinner. Rodney enjoyed being in the outdoors year round with family, camping, skiing and boating with all of his kids and grandkids. He also had a career of over 40 years as a chiropractor and dedicated himself to healing his patients both physically and through laughter.  He was known to family, friends and patients alike to always play practical jokes and have a one liner for every situation.  His positive attitude was apparent, as whenever he was asked how he was doing, he responded smiling, "Better then I deserve!"

Special thank you to Dr. Lorne Jarrett, Dr. Mathur, Dr. Aziz, Dr. Rassouli, Staff at the SAH Cancer Care Clinic, Leah and Cindy at Bayshore, Heather and Tina for all of their care, compassion and assistance over the past year.

Following Rodney's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. He considered the love shown in the past few weeks to be his living celebration of life as this time was spent with family, friends, music and laughter. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Soup Kitchen in his honour would be greatly appreciated by him. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522).  Please visit the Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.
