It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I, Bernard ‘Skip’ Murphy announce the passing of my caring and loving wife Peggy at the age of 82 on December 19, 2021.
Dear mother of Matthew (Jeannette), Brendan (Kelly), Kevin (Gloria), Cathy (Lorrie) and grandmother of Christopher, Craig, Corey, Tyler, Jeffery and Brittny. Daughter of the late Philomine and Albert LeClair. Sister of the late Bert ‘Mannie’ (Jean), Larry (Wendy) and late Terry (Brenda). Daughter in law of the late Catherine and Mathew Murphy. Predeceased by brothers and sisters in law; Nellie (Ben), James (Mary), Biddy (Jack), Eddy (Molly), Kathleen (Johnny), Matthew, Patricia all of Dublin, Ireland. She leaves behind her sister in law Teresa (late Dennis Murphy) of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews in Ireland and Canada.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. To attend the visitation, relatives and friends must register (RSVP) either online on O’Sullivan’s website under Peggy’s obituary or by calling the funeral home. Please wear a face mask and practice physical distancing.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Peggy’s service is reserved for immediate family only. Extended family and friends are encouraged to participate in a livestream on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a graveside service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (meet at Cemetery Chapel - 27 Fourth Line E, SSM for approximately 11:45 a.m.) to follow the procession to the grave.
The family would like to thank the Ontario Finnish Rest Home for the compassionate and warm care given to Peggy. Memorial donations may be made to the Society of the Little Flower (payable online or by cheque).
