With heavy hearts, the family of Pauline Anne Murphy (née Vezeau) announce the passing of our beloved mom on January 7th, 2021. Her husband Duncan was at her side as she became our guardian angel.  Born March 25th, 1941 and raised in Parkinson Township, Iron Bridge, she lived in Elliot Lake since 1962. She will be deeply missed by her husband Duncan, their four children Stephen (Nancy), Wendy (Neil), Janice (Bryan), Shane (Suzanne), 7 grandchildren (Holly, Emily, Connor, Caitlin, Jade, Stephanie and Nathaniel, her sister Mitzie (John), brother Bert (Jackie), her nieces, nephews and many friends. Our 7 furry friends will also miss her caring soul.  Pauline was a wife, mom, nurse, community volunteer and avid curler. She was exceptional in each of her roles and had room for all in her heart. Together, Pauline and Dunc, created a home that was full of laughter and music which was open to everyone that stepped through the door. Pauline had a warm smile and caring heart that she offered to all.  Pauline’s 38 year nursing career was a calling. She was committed and compassionate to her patients and her colleagues. Over the years Pauline volunteered for many organizations and most recently was presented with an Honorary Lifetime Corporate Membership for her long-term dedication to Club 90.   Thank you to Alberta Jones and her staff at Hillside Park Retirement Residence for their supportive care. A special acknowledgement of Dr. McGregor, Dr. Linford and Dr. Pearce of HSN is in order for granting our family additional time with mom. Pauline wanted to celebrate her 58th wedding anniversary to Dunc and these dedicated physicians made the event a reality.  Due to the COVID pandemic a commemoration of her life will occur at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made to NSCSS/Club 90, 10 Paris Drive, Unit 6, Elliot Lake, ON P5A 2L9
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
