Monsignor Henry J. Murphy passed away on Monday, June 10, 2002 at the F.J. Davey Home in the presence of family and friends. Pastor Emeritus of Precious Blood Cathedral. Ordained to the Priesthood June 11, 1938. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Catherine (nee Cleary) Murphy. Brother of the Late Charles Murphy (late Monica), Late Anne Roy (late Raymond), late sister Theresa Celine and the late Father Leonard Murphy. Uncle of Terry Murphy (Dorothy) of Sudbury, Pat Dinsdale (Robert) of Oakville, late Bill Murphy (Janet), Sally Zeppa (late Henry), and Monica Pezzutto (Art) all of Sault Ste Marie. Monsignor is survived by many great nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects to Monsignor at Precious Blood Cathedral Wednesday, June 12th from 4-10 pm. Liturgical Wake service at 7 pm. Visitation Thursday June 13th from 9 am. until the time of funeral mass at 11 am. with most Reverend Jean-Louis Plouffe presiding. Interment in the family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
