Heather Mills (Brouillard) passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 7, 2003 at the age of 55 years. "Something as insignificant as a name summons up the innumerable smiles and tears, sighs and dreams of a human life." (A Diamont) Beloved wife of the late Ted Brouillard and the late Robert Mills. Predeceased by her parents George and Maisie Graham. Loving mother of Steven Brouillard (Candace) of Toronto and Kirk Brouillard (Christine Chlebus) of Sault Ste. Marie. Stepmother of Jim Mills (Barb), Kevin Mills (Kim), Sharon Mills (Lorena) and Sherrie Mills. Her love lingers on in the memories of her nine grandchildren. "Of all life's pleasures, only love owes no dept to death" (A. Diamont) Dear sister of the late George Graham (Phyllis) of Toronto, Margo Theobald (Jim) of St. Catherines and Sandra Simpson (Howard of Sudbury). Aunt of Ian Graham, Jimmy and Lee Theobald, Kimberly, David and Douglas Simpson. "Her heart brimmed with thanks for the kindness and love you have shown." With sincere thanks and gratitude to her special circle of friends, Beth and Jim, Beth and Ron, Darlene and Jean, Gidget and Eric, Jackie, Janice, Linda and Ray, Linda and Ralph. To those special "angels" who provided her with care and supported her on her journey; her doctors, the nursing staff on palliative care, the ministry staff of Willowgrove United Church and those special palliative volunteers. We give you thanks. "She has died but has not left them." The family wishes to thank her loyal caregivers and friends; Jackie, Beth, Mavis Veronica and Billy Joe. Special thanks to her in-home nurses, Michelle and Leah and to the many homemakers who added to her quality of life. Heather came to Canada from Scotland at the age of four. Grew up in Timmins and raised her family in Sault Ste. Marie. She was an employee on the custodial staff of the Algoma District School Board and a past volunteer of St. John's Ambulance and Boy Scouts of Canada through Willowgrave United Church. Like her mother, she was an avid gardener and her plants will miss her tender care. She will also be missed by her four-legged companion of many years, "Duffy." At Heather's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Sault Ste. Marie Chapter of the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Ontario Division - North would be greatly appreciated.
