MILLER, Joanne (nee Varcoe)

Suddenly at St. Michaels Hospital, Toronto, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at the age of 48. Daughter of the late June and James Varcoe. Loving mother and best friend of Amanda and her pal Kain. Special friend of Dan. Stepmother of April. Cherished “Nana Jo” of Andrew and Ashton. Soul mate and sister of Judy and dear sister of Jimmy, Bobby and Rocky. Joanne will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Special niece of Sharon and Jimmy Spurr, Debbie Hayes and Mary Abbott. She will be greatly missed by the staff at Sault Area Hospital, payroll department and by her close friends Pat Shepard and the girls from the “Ya Ya”. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 11 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Sam Norbo officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Easter Seals or the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
