It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Lee Miller announces her passing. She passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023, at the age of 67 at Sault Area Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her oldest son, Jason Matte (Kenda), as well as Noel Gagnon; sisters Christine Higgins (late Terry), Heather Tasse (Bob), Cheryl Miller, Kim Charbonneau, and Tina Dunn (Keith); grandchildren Daniel Matte (Frankie), Payton Jackson, Richard and Charlton Matte; great-grandsons Bryer and Brooks, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her mother Eileen Miller, her nephew Jamie Tasse, and her youngest son Steven Matte (Carolyn).
Please join us to celebrate Donna’s earthly life as well as her safe arrival into the arms of her loving Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 12:00pm at Harbour Light Baptist Church, 369 Pim Street, Sault Ste. Marie. Lunch and fellowship to follow. Private family interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Our family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the excellent care given to Donna by the Sault Area Hospital and VanDaele Extendicare over the past two and a half years.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donna cherished animals and had many pets that she loved over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations of pet supplies (ex: toys, treats, food, etc.) will be collected at the funeral and will be donated to the Humane Society in Donna’s memory.
