MIDDLETON, Betty Elaine

It is with heavy hearts we say good-bye to Betty Elaine Middleton (McKay) at the age of 81. Betty passed away peacefully with family and her longtime friend Jane Lang Charette by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on November 30, 2016. Betty was predeceased by her husband John Middleton. Loving mother to Leslie Cook (Bart Kirwan) and Don Middleton (Marla). Proud grandmother of the late Joseph Cook, Tanya Cook (Craig), Casey Cook, Allan Middleton (Sydney), Wylie Middleton (Rene) and Cambrie Middleton. Proud great grandmother of Morgan Marshall.  Daughter of the late Charlotte and Calvin McKay. Sister of the late John McKay (Devon) and Helen Olauson. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Betty was owner and proud host of Frontier Lodge, Elliot Lake for 32 years, with a past and passion in nursing! Upon retirement Betty loved spending time with her friends including her Red Hat girls. The family would like to thank Dr. Lane, Dr. Matthews and Dr. Yee for their compassion and care as well as the nursing staff of 3C especially Dave, Elliot, Carolyn, Brett, Courtney and Liisa. Caring nurses are truly angels on earth.  Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm.  Funeral service to be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11 am.  Rev.
