Passed away suddenly, at the age of 64, on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Toronto General Hospital after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Bob was a devoted father to his four children; the late Natasha, late Tony, Michael (Melissa Deadman) and Melissa (Matt Thickson). His four grandchildren were a source of pride and joy for their Papa; Alessa, Pearl, August, and Rocco. Beloved son of Patricia Charrette, Mike and Janet Miceli. He will be forever in the hearts of his brothers and sisters; Michael (Denise), Bonnie (Leo), Shirley (Gino), Steven (Donna), Perri, Sam, and Chuck. Bob will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, and many friends who teased him about his unwavering support for his team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He began his career in Dubreuilville where he lived for about five years. When his family was young they explored many lakes and campsites in northern Ontario. Wakami Lake became a favourite, with Bob returning many times over the years with his trusty dog Barney. Bob and his family moved to London, Ontario in 1998 where he worked for the Ministry of Transportation until his retirement in December 2014. He made lasting friends in London who have stayed in touch even to his recent days in the hospital. It was his dream to build a retirement home in Goulais River. He was still working on the finishing touches with the help of family and friends. Bob was a frequent donor to Sick Kids Hospital and to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. He also became an organ donor. Bob’s lively spirit and infectious positivity will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 12:00 pm with Mr. John Maccarone officiating.  Memorial donations (payable cheque) to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
