MERRITT, Florabelle ‘Belle’

March 2, 1927 – March 16, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Florabelle Theresa Merritt (née Larivière) on March 16, 2020, at the age of 93 while at Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River. She has gone to meet her Creator and join the love of her life, Darwin. She was the youngest and the last of 9 girls and 2 boys of the late Jean-Baptiste and Celina (née Leblanc) Larivière. She is survived by her only son, Peter (Nicole) and grandchildren Matthew (Lisa) of New York City and Rya of Blind River, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Audrey Dubé and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. We would like to thank all the special people at Golden Birches who cared for and comforted our mom. As Florabelle would always say to anyone who did even a little something for her “I thank you”. A celebration of life will take place at a future date and will be communicated through local parish bulletins and social media.
