MERRIFIELD, Curtis Robert George

in his 75th year, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2003 after a lengthy illness at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved husband for 51 years of Margaret (Murray). Cherished father of Vincent (Tammi), Randy (Rachelle), Margaret Ann "Maggie" (Bill), Wendy, Brian (Marnie), Jason (Marla) and the late baby Murray. Dearest Papa of 8 and great Papa of 2. Son of the late Maude and William Merrifield V.C. Brother of late Verne Merrifield (Kay), late Patricia (late Grant) Morden and the late Rose (late Oliver) Toristo. Brother-in-law of Fern Allen (late Bud), Betty Corbett (Jack), Carole O?Neill, Gloria Seppala (Dorland), late Bob Murray, late Billy Murray and the late Cora Shackelton. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Curtis worked as a crane operator in the rail mill for 23 years and at the Algoma District School Board as a caretaker for 24 years before retiring in 1993. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday, June 25 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Bruce McLeish officiating.
