MENDICINO, Lena (nee D’Andrea)

Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Albert for 55 years. Cherished mother of Gayle Burch, Ralph Mendicino and Roberta Theisen (Michael). Loved grandmother of Larissa, Lauren and Nicholas. Daughter of the late Victor and Nicoletta D’Andrea and daughter-in-law of the late Ralph and Gilda Mendicino. Sister of Domenic D’Andrea (Dolores), Gina Blais (Louis), Doreena Pavan (Joe) and Ed D’Andrea (Margaret). Sister-in-law of the late Jim Mendicino (late Margie) and the late Louise Cundari (late Ralph). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Lena was a long time member of the Electra Marconi Society, St. Jerome’s CWL and volunteer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society and Sault Area Hospitals. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, January 23, 2004 from 6-9 pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated from St. Jerome’s Church, Carmel Road on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 12 pm. Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Jerome’s Church, S.A.H. Respiratory Department or 100Y Chronic Care would be appreciated by the family.
