Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in his 82nd year with family at his side. Born in Upperlands, Northern Ireland. Beloved husband of Mary for 59 years. Cherished father of Linda July (Ross), Mervyn Jr. (Louanne), Diane Beemer (Greg) and Siobhan Poluk. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Mourning the loss of their precious Granda are Jasmin July (Nick), Joshua July (Kate), Meghan MacMillan (Chris), Samuel Edmond (Kim), Sumer Mellon, Kaitlyn Armstrong (Marcos Diaz), Mikayla Poluk and Jacob Beemer. His great grandchildren were his little ray of sunshine. Loving great Granda of Coral and Sebastian MacMillan, Noah and Gabriella Diaz, and Ollie Edmond. Loved brother-in-law of Annie Fyfe, Margaret Peden and uncle of Bill Barkley all of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E, 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
