McPHEE, Murdoch John

Born April 10, 1911 in McPhee's Valley (Ophir), the eldest son of Elizabeth and Angus McPhee. He left us peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the Finnish Resthome. Murdoch is remembered with love and gratitude by his beloved wife Thelma, and their family ? Margaret and Keith Cameron, Allan and Carole McPhee, Earl and Nancy McPhee, Helen and Ernie Dynie, Lynn and Betty McPhee and Keith and Margaret McPhee. He was the cherished grandfather and great grandfather of John and Ruth Cameron (Vincent), Susan and Dan Dodson (Jennifer and Sean), Jim Cameron and Kim Christie, Debbie McPhee and Brian Egglesfield, David and Mary McPhee (Jamie and Billy), Darren and Lesley McPhee (Danielle and Malcolm), Jeanie and Bob Fremlin (Dylan and Wyatt), Jenna Dynie and Chris De Ruiter (Murdoch Jake), Steve and Michael Dynie, Adam, Rebecca, Tim and Stephanie McPhee. Murdoch will be missed by his brother Jim McPhee (Marilyn), his brothers-in-law Fred Harrison, Wib Bell (Jessie) and Bob Bell (Kathy) and his sisters-in-law Gwen McPhee and Ilene MacDonald (Stanley). Murdoch was predeceased by his son Jack, his great grandson Brett, his sisters Sarah Harrison, Jessie Mills (Bud), Ethel Broad (Fred), Florence and Muriel McPhee, his brothers Neil and Angus McPhee, his sisters-in-law Verna Torrance McLellan (Tracy, Evan) and Helen McGregor (Dean) and his brother-in-law Alex Bell. He is fondly remembered by any nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, May 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment at Rock Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Mauno Kaihla Koti Renovations, Willowgrove United Church or to the charity of your choice will be gratefully accepted by the family.
