Bob McKerlie passed away peacefully at the General Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at the age of 77. Loving husband and partner for over 41 years to Pauline Daynard Hicks. Dear father of Cheryl McKerlie and stepfather of Dennis and Darrell (Nicole). Cherished Pops to Darrell, April, John, Robert and Samantha. Loved son-in-law of Margaret Spicer (late Floyd Daynard). Brother-in-law of Stanley Daynard (Janice), Harold Daynard (Joanne), Albert Daynard (Ruth), Maxine Steeves and Marilyn Gordon. Bob is survived by many nieces and nephews. Great nephew of Paul and Christine Reeves of Norwich, England. Bob worked for 35 years at Consumers Gas in Richmond Hill and retired in 1986 and moved to Hilton Beach. He will be sadly missed by his little girl "Lightning" (Italian Greyhound). Bob leaves behind many special friends. A memorial service will take place at Mountain United Church on St. Joseph Island on Monday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Calvin Lamming officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
