It is with deep sorrow that the children of Kathryn "Kay" McConnell announce her passing on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice at the age of 85.  Beloved wife of the late Charles Darol.  She leaves behind her children Darlene, Patti (Olaf), Jeff (Doreen) and the late Lance and daughter-in-laws Wendy and Manon.  Her adored grandchildren - Amy, Megan, Grant, Josee, Cassy, Ashley, Charlene, Tanis, Kristy, Katelin, Tanya, Kenny and the late Alishia and 18 great grandchildren.

Her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was expressed with her open door guiding principle.  Her love for the Lord was a constant memento in everything she accomplished from day to day.

Predeceased by her parents Fredrick and Gertrude White.  Dear sister of Roger (Nan), Elinor (Monir), Carroll (Lew), George (Carol), Doug (Lois), Janet, the late Sandra (late Cliff) and the late Gordie (late Betty).  Sister-in-law of the late Doug (late Luva) and the late Genevieve (late Jim).  Fondly and much loved Aunt to a whole host of nieces and nephews.  

We would like to invite you to join us in the Celebration of Mom's Life at Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle (306 McNabb Street) on Thursday, September 5th , 2019 from 11:00 am to 1 pm.  Memorial service  at 1:30  pm.  Pastor Ed Moran officiating.  Reception downstairs  to follow.  Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donation (payable by cheque) to Elim Children's Outreach or to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.  

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hill, Cindy and the Cancer Unit Team for their care, compassion and friendship throughout her fight and to the Palliative Care Team who have graciously accommodated Mom's whishes and finally to ARCH for your grace, guidance and love.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).
