Dad climbed the scaffolding to Heaven on July 20, 2019, days short of his 68th birthday. He is now pain and cancer free. Loving husband of 47 years to Margaret McCaig (nee McLeary) of Sault Ste. Marie. Father to twin boys; Darren (Amanda) and Grampa to their kids Bella, Brody and Sabby. and his other son Daniel (Lisa Cote) and Grampa to be to Julien Cote. Brother to the late Terry (Less), Keith (Cathy) and Allen (Sue). Uncle of Kara, Richard (Nathalie), Sean, Kevin (Jenna), Erin (Greg), Nathan, Aaron and Seth (Anna). Great Uncle of Caleb, Taylor, Carter, Ashton, Harrison, Faith, Sabrina, Alexandra (Oliver), Ben, Brandon, Micheal, Austin and Daniel and great great uncle of Hazel. Special thanks to his niece Erin for providing special care for Dad in his last hours at the Sault Area Hospital.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 27th at Bethel Bible Chaple, 686 Black Road, Sault Ste. Marie. Visitation 1:00pm-1:30pm. Service at 1:30pm with Associate Pastor Len Peake officiating.
Dad was a talented bricklayer, stone mason and house builder. In honor of his trades, the family ask that you bring a hard hat, wear work boots, jeans, Union attire or any construction related attire. I will be wearing Dad's hard hat and coveralls. Memorial donations made to ARCH or the Humane Society and would be appreciated by the family.
