McBRIDE, Lenore Christine (nee Walls)

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Lenore at the age of 70 on September 24, 2016 at SAH lovingly surrounded by her family. Lenore was the loving wife and best friend of the late Gerald McBride. She is survived by her children Jerry (Kris) and Kim. Loving Gramma of Aaron, Tyler, Myles, Elise and Eric. Daughter of late Harold and late Maud Walls of Prince Township. Cherished sister of late Dorothy and late Glen Frey of Bowling Green, Ohio, late Patricia Walls, Linda and Merlyn Hawdon and Gary and Valerie Walls. Cherished sister-in-law of the late Jean Sartor (late Robert Bell)(late Gino Sartor), Patricia and late Rodney Van Daele, Gary and Verna McBride, Elsie and Bing Renner of Marathon ON, late Sharon and Wayne Comrie of Thunder Bay, ON, and Randy and Laurie McBride. Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. A woman with a warm heart and beautiful smile. She found great joy in watching her grandchildren grow. It was never easy to find Lenore as she was always busy attending her morning coffee group and playing cards with her friends on St. Joseph Island. She also had the travel bug and ventured on many trips. Recently Lenore came into some struggles with her failing heart which was a side effect from her cancer in 2005. Sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at the ICU unit SAH for their compassion and care. Along with Lenore's wishes, there will be no funeral services; she will be laid to rest with her best friend at a private ceremony at a later date.
