MAURO Annina

Born in 1928 in San Pietro in Guarano, Italy. Passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Extendicare Maple View at the age of 92 years.

Anna has left these words for her family and friends.

Heartbroken, Sad and Lonely.

During the current pandemic times I was able to die peacefully with my loved ones by my side. I felt your love and embraced every single moment.

Pasquale Mauro - my beloved late husband who I am now reunited with.

Josephine, Marissa & Rosanna - my 3 beautiful loving daughters who were always there for me every single day with your unconditional love. It breaks my heart to leave you, but I am now at peace. I will be your guardian angel watching over you. I love you.

Derek Darou and Stewart Hamilton - my two sons-in-law who were welcomed into our family with all my heart.

Amanda, Andrew and Adam (Erica) D’Orazio, Kaitlyn and Matthew Darou - my cherished grandchildren who I am so very proud of. You always put a smile on my face and I will dearly miss you along with all of my great grandchildren.

Quintino and Maria Concetta Medaglia of Italy - my late parents.
Pierino Medaglia (Franca) of Windsor, Ontario - my dear little brother and his caring wife who always had a special place in my heart.
Adolfo Medaglia (Rosa) of Grimaldi, Italy - my dear brother and sister-in-law.
Esterina Cuzzolino (Antonio) - my late sister and brother-in-law.
Frank Medaglia (Angelina) - my late brother and sister-in-law.
Natale Medaglia (Carmella) of Cosenza, Italy - my late brother and sister-in-law.

Emilio and Giuseppina Mauro - my late father and mother-in-law.
Maria Mirabelli (Ernesto) - my sister-in-law and her husband.
Mario Mauro (Cheryl) - my brother-in-law and his wife.
Antonio Mauro (Linda) - my late brother-in-law and his wife.
Vincenzo Mauro - my late brother-in-law.

And to all my many nieces and nephews whom I will fondly remember.

To the staff at Mapleview Extendicare (Harmony Bay) - My English was not the greatest and I know it was a challenge at times trying to understand my needs but please know that I am forever grateful to the ones that took that extra time for me - you know who you are.  My daughter’s and I thank you for your kindness and compassion that you gave me for almost six years while I was a resident there.

A private family service has been held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705 945-7758).  Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.  Memorial donations to ARCH, St. Gregory’s Catholic Church or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
