MATHISON, Gary

(Proprietor Northern Carpet Craft, Wawa). Suddenly as a result of a heart attack while attending a hockey tournament in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday February 27, 2004. Gary, beloved husband of Vicki, loving father of Jessica, Zachary and Hailey. Loved son of Elizabeth and Garnet Mathison. Dear brother of Jayne Griffith, Randy (Jennifer), Tracy (Cindy), and Jennifer (Chad). Gary will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Diane Cowlin, and his brothers-in-law Doug (Ellen) and Kerry Lindow. Special uncle and best friend of David (Erin), Michael and Catherine (Cory) Griffith, Heather, Brad, Amy, Greg, Courtney and Christyne Mathison, Sam and Cole Stevens and great uncle to Baby Corrie. He will also be sadly missed by his business family and special friends Rod and Deb Lamming and their children Ryan, Krista and Scott. His loss will be deeply felt by the hockey community of Wawa, especially The Pee Wee Travellers, The Midget Travellers and The Junior B Travellers Hockey Clubs. A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre Arena with Pastor Ron Henson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Wawa Minor Hockey Association or The Junior B Travellers in care of Jayne Griffith Box 232, Wawa, Ontario, P0S 1K0.
