It is with saddened hearts that the family of Matthew Joseph Marinovich announces his passing on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in his 84th year. He is resting peacefully after a brief battle with cancer. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Mary and by his three daughters; Janice Buckle (Roger) of Sarnia, Joan Paradis (Paul) of Marathon and Jeanne Elwgren (John) of the Sault. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Matthew (Spike), Erin (Stretch), Jacqueline (Elbows), Kevin (Nails), Kyle (Speedy Gonzalez), Jessica (Gaggi) and Justin (Rocket Head). Predeceased by his parents Peter and Annie Marinovich, sister Annie and brothers John and Mike. Survived by brother Tony (Marilyn). Brother-in-law of Goldie Marinovich, Nick Yurich (Raili), Johnny Yurich (late Joyce) and the late Lucy and Nick Mancuso. Uncle of Michael Marinovich (Chris), Frank Mancuso (Nancy), Sherri-Lee Mancuso, Michael Yurich, Ricky Yurich (Bonnie) and Debbie Hobson (Tom). A lifelong Tiger fan, Matt will now be cheering and armchair coaching from the upper deck.
