With heavy hearts and deep sadness, our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved aunt, Jean Major at SAH with her niece by her side.

She is predeceased by her parents Jim and Sarah Major, her sister Ada (late Gord) McMillan, her brother Ed (late Daisy) Major and her nephew Rev Don McMillan.  She will be sadly missed by her nephews, George (Joyce) McMillan, Ken (Joanne) McMillan and niece Karen (Peter) Greco, along with our families. Beloved great-aunt of Max (Shirley), Paxton (Heather), Gordon (KaraLee), Andrea (Phil), Matthew (Shannon), Andrew (Sonam), Marney (Tim) & Lesley. Great-great-aunt of Charlotte, Brock, Duncan, Connor, Cameron, Chelsea, Alex, Ada, Lily, Hailey & Danielle.

She was an amazing lady who lived a full and involved life. At 97 she was still very bright and independent.  She had a successful and fulfilling career with Algoma Central Railway, while at the same time enthusiastically supporting her church and community. Throughout her life she embraced her family with a loving, caring heart and over the years she has become a friend to many who knew her simply as “Aunt” Jean.
