1928-2018 - Passed away peacefully into the arms of her Saviour at Woods Park Care Centre, Barrie, Ontario on Monday, April 23, 2018 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Ivan Asselin. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Ruth and John Benson, Elizabeth and Neil Miles and Esther and Bruce Havlin. Proud Grandmother of Andrea and Tim Hatch, Philip and Tara Benson, Eric and Alyssa Miles, Brent and Kali Miles and Lindsay and Adam Elliott. Special GG to Akaila, Ashlyn, Bennett, Brielle, Abbie, Chloe, William and Jack. Survived by her loving sister Doris Behnke (late Lawrence) and sister-in -law Reta Tulloch (late Frank). Predeceased by her sisters Nolene (Orville), Gladys (Walter), Shirley (Floyd), Flora (Bob), and brothers Jim (Arlene) and Woodrow (Ruby). Predeceased by Ivan's caring brothers and sisters and their spouses. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Mom appreciated so much her many special friendships over the years. Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 1 - 2:30 pm with funeral to follow in the chapel at 3 pm.
