Amelda MacAdam passed away peacefully at her home on October 23, 2002. Amelda was born 92 years ago in Laird Township, the only daughter in a family of seven sons of the late Charles A. and Catherine McKinnon. She is survived by her husband, Gerald MacAdam and her son, Donald MacAdam (Vicki). She is also survived by her brother Gerald McKinnon (Norma) and many nieces and nephews. Amelda was predeceased by six brothers. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Amelda was a great sportswoman, an accomplished seamstress, a duplicate bridge player and an active community volunteer. Visitation will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arthur Funeral Home on Sunday, October 27th and on Monday, October 28th from 12:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Francis Reed officiating.
