LUCK, David Henry

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of David at Extendicare Maple View on Saturday, February 15, 2020 with his family by his side at the age of 84.  Loving husband of the late Gwen.  Son of the late Charles and Tina Luck.  Father of Brenda Sartor (Ray), Fred Luck (Monique Pertteli and the late Vickey-Lynn).  Much loved grampa of Tasha Mooney (Aaron), Nikki Matt (Donovan), Dallas Sartor, Britney Brown (Dan) and Joshua Luck (Ellena Pyykko).  Great grandfather of Kay-Lee, Oliver, Kinsley, Emmett, Milo and Quinn.  Dear brother of the late Ed Luck (late Betty).  Brother-in-law of the late Eileen Doyle (Larry) and Allan Stares (Debra).  Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  David always had a special place in his heart for a favourite cousin, Gary Luck who always found time to drive from Detroit and Florida to spend time and visit.  David retired from Algoma Tube Mill as a mill-wright.  Upon retiring, David with his loving wife Gwen spent several months each year doing what he loved the most, camping, fishing, hunting at his favourite campgrounds Wakami Provincial Park and Pancake Bay.  If he wasn't camping, you could always find David out back in his work shed doing what he called tinkering.  A special thank you to the loving and caring staff at Extendicare Maple View during this difficult time.  Friends are invited to visit with the family at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 6 pm to 9 pm.  At David's request, no formal service will be held.  A private interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions to ARCH Hospice or Tracy's Dream would be greatly appreciated.  Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.
