LUCIC, Anika bio copy

(July 12, 1942 –August 21, 2016) It is with deepest sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful friend Ankica (Anna) Lucic.  Born July 12, 1942 in the city of Virje, Croatia.  Wife of the late Joe Lucic who was the love of her life.  Loved great great aunt of Ana Cimin (Robert) of Croatia and their daughter Antonia, who called her baka. Extraordinary grandmother to her two special girls Petra and Martina Brlecic. Ankica was special and affected the lives of so many people. She had a heart of gold and was known for always giving all of her and never expecting anything in return.  She had a zest for life that was to be admired and always lived in the moment. She volunteered her time to so many organizations including Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Sault Area Hospital.  She was so proud of all her travels with the Sunshine Club and loved being a part of the Sault Rising Stars as well as the Croatian Tamburitzins Kolo Group. She had a soul that can never be duplicated. Any person that had the pleasure to meet her knows how rare she was. Special thank you to her family and friends who held her hand until the very end as she danced her way into the arms of Joe. Dr. Keating and his nurse Jen who were very dear to her heart. Dr. Mohammad, Dr. Yee, Dr. Booth and the nursing staff of Emergency and 3B for being so compassionate through this difficult time. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 5-8 pm with a prayer at 7:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 am at Our Lady of the Highways parish. Father Veselko Kvesic officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital or Our Lady of the Highways parish would be appreciated. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.

“Life is so beautiful but it is so short”
Sa ljubavlju, Ankica.
