LOPES, José Maria “Joe”

Passed away peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Sunday, January 27, 2013 in his 86_^th year.  Beloved husband and soulmate of the late Idalina.  Loving father of Maria Esposito (Ralph), Frank Lopes (Rita), and Tony Lopes (Laura).  Cherished grandfather of Candice, Aaron, Craig, Jessica, Brendan, Jordyn and Adrian.  Predeceased by his parents António and Beatriz Lopes. Brother of the late Maria Pascoal (late Vancislau), late Lucinda Cruz (late Antόnio), late Etelvina Santos (late Henrique) and Fernando (Lourdes). Brother-in-law of the late Celeste Bernardo (late Manuel), late Acácio Gonçalves, late Albertina Pascoal (late Armando), late Jerόnimo Gonçalves (Conceição) and late Irene Gonçalves.  José will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends in Portugal and Brazil.  Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 4 p.m. Memorial donations to ARCH, Canadian Naturopathic Foundation or any charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  www.northwoodfuneral.com
