It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Ron, at the age of 68 with his devoted wife, daughter and fur baby by his side. Ron fought a courageous 15 year battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Marleen, his daughter Mandy and his fur baby Annie. Left to grieve are his mother Viola Fraser (late Marvin), siblings Lauraine Cattrysse (Roger), Donna Hancott (Gilmore), Leah Brown (Mark), Cindy Lewis (Ken Pasram), Michael Lewis, Linda Trottier (Ron) and Jackie Duhaime (Jean Pierre), in laws Ronald Smith (Brenda), Laura Miller (late Ted), Alda-Mae Raymond (Mike), Rhoda Goodall (Raymond) and Murray Smith (Judy Paquin), extended family in Caro Michigan and Longlac Ontario as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father Junior Lewis and mother and father-in-law Eleanor and Leonard Smith. Ron was an avid hunter and loved the time he spent hunting turkey and deer in Michigan, geese and ducks on the island on Lake Nipissing and moose in Longlac. He was a millwright by trade and took pride in his work. He was quick to lend a hand to whomever needed it no matter how he was feeling. He was quick to make friends and keep said friends for life. The family wants to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Ron throughout his illness, especially Jessica and Amy.
