It is with heavy broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our treasured mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the tender age of 84 years young. She has joined the love of her life, Percy, only four short months after losing him. They had 62 loving years of life together. Elaine was the daughter of Verna Shoemaker and Henry Seiling of Elmira. She was adored by her children Valeria (Alain), Lynn (Suzanne), Mark (Cathy) and Scott (Elke). We will always miss her presence. Her grandchildren Melanie (Chris), Stephanie (Derek), Derek (Jess), Elysia (Dave), Trystyn, Shawna and Alex, Guillaume (Genevieve) and Cindy (Francois) will forever miss their Nana. She was blessed to be Great Nana to Lauren and Reece, Cole, Ben, Isabelle, Sebastian and Chloe. Elaine was the youngest of a large family, late Esther (late Percy) Soehner, late Ruby (late Albert Hickman), late Edward (late Gladys) Seiling, late Howard Seiling, late Fred (late Ruth Seiling, late Valera (late Ken) Adam, late Wilson Seiling, late Glen Seiling and Gladys Bauman. Elaine had a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews and was always interested in their lives and families. Elaine and Percy made a home and life in Restoule for 40 years with many, many cherished friends and were an active part of the community. They both loved to travel anywhere, anytime. They also were at home when in Cambridge with family and their many life long friends. A special good bye to Esther, Ruth and Barb. Special thanks to Aunt Bun and Uncle Denis and Aunt Marg and Uncle Doug for all their love and support. It was a privilege to be a part of Elaine’s amazing life and those who knew her well will reflect on all the incredible memories they have shared with her. Our family will be taking both Elaine and Percy home to Restoule. There will be a Celebration of Life for them at a later date and we will notify family and friends at that time. A special thank you to the nurses on 3C for their wonderful care and attention during our difficult time. (Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St. Sault Ste.
