Edith Helen Leaney passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital with her family by her side on Monday, May 5, 2003. Beloved wife of the late William. Dear mother of Dianne Armstrong (Barry), Carol Hill (Chuck) and the late Laurie. Grandma Leaney to Blair Armstrong (Kathy), of Burnaby, B.C., Brian Armstrong (Patricia) of Creemore, Ontario, Matthew Hill (Cynthia) of Oshawa, Ontario and Aaron Hill (Joelle) of Fort Smith, N.W.T. Great Nana to Emily, Jonas and Emma. Helen is survived by her sister Edna Fisher (late Max) and predeceased by her brother Melvin Shuttleworth. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, May 8 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 9 at 3:00 p.m. with The Very Rev. Garry Dobinson officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Finnish Resthome or to St. Luke's Cathedral Building Fund would be appreciated.
