(September 1, 1959-December 11, 2018) - It is with broken hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Robert on December 11, 2018 at the age of 59. Beloved husband and best friend of Anna LaPensée. Cherished father of Ryan LaPensée, Nicole Mitchell (Alex) and Jocelyn LaPensée (Justin). Special Grandfather of Alyssa and Jada Thompson, Camryn Mitchell and our newest addition Bodhi Robert Leonard Adam. Son of the late Verlyn and Nelson LaPensée. Loving brother of Suzanne Hanna (Michael), the late David LaPensée and Laurie Ann Streiling (Colin). Special son-in-law of Dianne and John Spadafore. Bob will be missed by his brother and sister in law, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Spadafora, her nurse Sarah, John and everyone at the Chemo Suite for all the care they gave to Bob as well as Dr. A Pearce, Sheila and Nadine at the radiation bunker. Dr. Buehner, Dr. Dawson, Dr. Apostle and Dr. Booth, the team at Princess Margaret, Dr. L. Siu, Dr. P. Bedard, nurses Kristin and Maryia for all they did for Bob. To the Paramed nurses, Tracy, Marci, Mike and Krista, also our respite worker Christina for all you did, we are blessed to have you all on this journey with him. To all the special nurses, PSW’s, staff, volunteers, Chef Tom and especially Norie at ARCH, thank you for all you did for us. He will be missed by his fur babies Sophie, Henley, Kiwi and Mufasa. As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family gathering will take place. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations go to ARCH or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society.
