Peacefully, at ARCH with family by his side, at the age of 63. Predeceased by his wife Marlene Lamming (nee Gray). Father of Stephanie Van Buskirk (Jenson), Gregory Lamming (Shauna), Erin Pezzotti (Justin), Devin Lamming (Melinda) and Lori Lamming. Grandfather to Bronwyn, Jacob, and Audrey Van Buskirk, Gavin Lamming and Quintin Pezzotti, Blair Lamming, and Michael and Sarah Parent. Son of Calvin and the late Hazel (nee Daynard) Lamming. Brother of Cynthia Barnes (Myles) and Rick Lamming (Susan). Brother in Law to the late Marie Cain (Al). Remembered by his niece, Tammy Burston (Shaun) and nephews Bob Barnes (Celina), Michael Barnes (Chantalle), Calvin Lamming, and Raymond and Matthew Cain. Laurie was a retiree of St. Mary’s Paper, a Buffalo Sabres fan, a master of hockey pool stats, an okay bowler, and an avid spectator at the local stock car races. Laurie was loved and will be remembered by many. The family would like to invite you to join us for a visitation at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St., Sault Ste. Marie P6A 1P7 - 705-759-8456) on Saturday April 20, 2019 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Service to be held Monday April 22, 2019 at 3pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (126 Caledon St. Sault Ste. Marie, ON) with Bishop Todd Vary officiating. The family would like to send our love to his many friends who supported him, and the family, in the weeks leading up to his passing. Heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful staff and volunteers of ARCH. Thanks also to the homecare teams of Bayshore and CBI; especially to Suzie. We would like to recognize the exemplary care of both Dr. Booth and Dr. Spadafora. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to ARCH.
