Howard Walter Lamming passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 16, 2003 at the age of 78 years. Loving husband of Lillian. Beloved father of Craig, Randy (daughter-in-law Peggy) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Kerry of Russell, Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Barry, Mark and Christopher. Son of the late Russell and Mabel Lamming. Dear brother of Doreen Archibald (Bill), Calvin (Hazel) and the late Don (Violet of Sault Ste Marie) and Reg (Betty of Bar River, Ontario). Brother-in-law of the late Frank, George (Joyce of Sault Ste Marie), Lorenzo, Tom and Rick (Elaine of Sault Ste Marie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, February 18, from 6-9 pm and on Wednesday, February 19, from 11 am until 12:45 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, February 19, at 1 pm. Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Interment West Korah Cemetery. Because of the excellent care that Howard received, memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
