George passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Extendicare Maple View. He was in his 93rd year. He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife Margaret who predeceased him in 1990. George is survived by his son David (Grace), grand children, Corey (Julie), Danielle (John) and 3 great grand children, Carson, Carly, and Amelia.

George was a World War 2 Vet, a successful real estate entrepreneur and a true optimist. He was full of energy and adventure his entire life. From motorcycles to airplanes to travelling the globe, he thrived on trying any thing “new”. His grand children fondly remember his humour and wit and the many vacations they enjoyed together as a family. He loved his furry companions, a fine rum, a hearty meal, and a good smoke. Most of all, he loved the time spent with family and the many great friends he made over the years.

We will cherish all the wonderful memories we have of George, and his unwavering positive outlook on life.

A special thank you to George’s neighbours, Brian and Carol Campbell, and to the staff at Extendicare Maple View. Your help and caring made George’s final years just that much better.

At George’s request, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. - 705-759-2522). Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.
