LAFORTUNE, Tyler William Timothy

As some of you may already know we lost our son Tyler to suicide on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the age of 38.  As a  parent this is the most unbearable grief we will ever experience but it most certainly pales to the pain he must have felt to drive him to this. Tyler was the most loving, charismatic, and complicated personalities...as those who knew and loved him can attest.

Tyler leaves behind his mom and dad Tracey (nee LaFortune) and John Derosbie, brothers Dylan Derosbie and John Derosbie (Darlene), sister Katrina (Kat) Bennett, and his children who he loved more than they will ever know Nicole LaFortune, Izabell LaFortune and Ethan LaFortune, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends....we are all trying to navigate our way through this but know we will be left with more questions than answers.

I can only hope that you are finally at peace and I know you knew we loved you as every conversation we had ended with those words “I love you Ty” and the reply “I love you too”.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial donations made payable by cheque or online to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Safe Space Program at St. Basils Catholic School in Sault Ste. Marie or a suicide prevention or mental health charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the LaFortune family.

Please keep the conversation going and reach out if you need help....this is a pain no one should ever experience...those that are left behind and those who believe they have no other alternative.

Rest easy my dearest boy...I love you đź’”
