(September 13, 1940 – February 13, 2020) – With great sadness our family and loved ones announce Bing’s passing on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the age of 79. We honoured his wish to pass at home and he peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loved ones with Sue at his side. Husband of Sue (Hamel) for 26 years. Father of Gregory (Angela), Christopher and Jason (Kathy). Greatly loved Pa of Michael Gallivan (Tiffany) and Laura Gallivan (Dani). Very special Papa of Jayden and Jessy LaFord, Carter and Declan Gallivan, Theo Potvin and Sadie Kopp. He was so very proud of his grandchildren. Remembered by Kyle and Brandon LaFord and Kaitlyn Reid. Son of the late Rita Whalen, late August Whalen and the late Hugh C. LaFord. Son-in-law of the late Ellwood and Eunice Hamel. Dearest brother of Monica Brown (late Garnet), Helen St. Jules (late Trevor Cooper, Art St. Jules) and Rita LaFord. Brother-in-law of Chris Kurylo (late Don), Linda Greco (Robert), Mary Bougie, John Hamel (Laurie), Ellwood Hamel (Sue), Sandra Frechette (Fred) and Lisa Hamel. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a Mass at Our Lady of the Highways Church on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Veselko Kvesic officiating. Spring inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If you choose to honour Bing, we would appreciate donations to the SAH Foundation or the Twinkie Foundation.
