Elina Elinor Kontulainen passed away peacefully at the General Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday, March 17, 2003 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of Lauri. Loving mother of Kirsti Morano (Randy), Mark Kontulainen (Bobbie-Jo Barnes), Lisa Varano (Dominic) and Heidi Slotegraaf (Todd). Cherished grandmother of Alissa, Kaili and David Morano, Matthew and Mikeila Varano. Daughter of the late Anna and Hjalmar Kauppi. Dear sister of Elmer Kauppi (Joan). Special aunt of Bob Kauppi (Lucy), Ron Kauppi (Linda) and Donna Kauppi. Elia will be sadly missed by many friends. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, March 20 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 21 from Zion Lutheran Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. J. Krister Ulmanis officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Zion Lutheran Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
