Peacefully passed with dignity and grace at home on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 70. We will fondly remember Bill's sense of humour, laughter, wisdom, and his love for adventure. Bill was thankful for the opportunity to live life to the fullest, experience all the freedoms, enjoy the world's wonders and to be blessed with a beautiful family and friends. He had a passion for bridge and obtained a life master. He admired the people of the bridge clubs in Sault Ste. Marie and Florida. Bill also had a special fondness for his golf, motorcycle and fishing buddies. He had a special love for water, especially salt water. He was a swimmer, snorkeler, scuba diver, boater, and fisherman.
He will be forever missed by partner Nancey Stewart and her son Michael (Marie). Loving father to sons Derek (Megan) and Andrew (Julia). Cherished grampa to Dylan, Connor, Caitlin and Isaiah. Brother of Margaret, Kathleen, and dear family friend Cheryl. Son of the late William and Kathleen.
As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held. A special thank you to Dr. Shoesmith and the ALS team in London for their care and compassion. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Apostle, Dr. Berg and Dr. O'Brien. Thank you to nurse Lyvia Gibbs for her kindness, compassion and special care assisting Bill in navigating his Journey.
