(December 1938 - November 2022)

At the Sault Area Hospital, Bruce succumbed to complications arising from surgery.

Greatly missed by Simon, his son, and Cathy, his partner of 45 years. Son of the late Marjorie and Robert Kenny. Survived by his sister Pat (Wiseman) of Ringwood, England. Predeceased by three sisters and a brother. Bruce was born in Isleworth, England where he spent his first years experiencing WW II. He immigrated to Canada in 1966, becoming a draftsman at Algoma Steel and later, a drafting teacher at Korah C & VS, retiring as Tech Director in 1997. During his involvement with OSSTF, Bruce negotiated several contracts. A long-time sailor, Bruce spent most of his summers afloat on the waters of Lake Huron and after retirement, soaked up some winter sun in Florida.

He enjoyed a wide circle of friends in Bruce Mines, Sault Ste. Marie, Manitoulin Island, and Michigan. He coped well during the last couple of years surrounded by his “bubble” in Bruce Mines. Bruce will be sorely missed by his Mexican Train and Molkky playing partners who will now have to elect a new scorekeeper. In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, there will be  no funeral.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory (payable online or by cheque) to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Kenny family.
