Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Toronto Western Hospital, Dianne Jones passed away at the age of 64. Beloved spouse of Art Osborne. Loving mother of Lorraine Louise (Jones) Henderson (Sonny Reno), Richard Lorne Joseph (Jennifer) Jones, Veronica Leigh Sunni (Jones) Ferreira, and step-son Brad (Florence) Duczek. Cherished grandmother of David Lorne Douglas Henderson, James William Henderson, Blaise Conner Joseph Jones, Shayla Elizabeth Jones, and Raquel Dianne Ferreira. Dear daughter of Lorne and Wilma (Lewis) Hardick and her spouse Roy Hare. Treasured sister of Lorna (Ted) Haight, Ron (Sharon) Hardick and Marilyn (Paul) Dunk. Predeceased by her father Lorne Hardick and her twin sister Patty Hardick. Dianne will be dearly missed by her special friends Peggy and Merv, Tammy, John Paul, Dani and Dawn, as well as her Sault Ste. Marie special friends Joe and Helen, Neil and Carol, Ed and Wendy, Bob and Gayle and Russ and Kitty. Fondly remembered by her co-workers and patrons at Ontario Lottery Corporation, Sault Ste. Marie Casino and the former Hiawatha Slots, Sarnia. Forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Dianne was at her happiest with family and special friends, especially at Christmas and other events. Time spent at the McCarroll Lake Cabin with family was a favorite. She enjoyed bonfires, thunderstorms and reading, most especially with the grandchildren she adored. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Sault Ste. Marie. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Pathways Health Centre for Children or to Shriners Hospitals for Children- Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
